Alley and Tiffany Sharee team up on the brand new single “Reminiscing”

“I sent this beat to Tiffany’s manager and he responded almost immediately with how much she loved the beat and she wanted to work on it with me,” says Alley. A collaboration that has been in the works for a while, Alley and Tiffany have chosen the perfect single to work together on.
“The community is pretty closely knit in Port Elizabeth and we’ve known of each other for a while through being on the same line-ups and having mutual friends. We became friends when Tiffany started working on a song with Luke Goliath, who I was in a band with back then. Working together has been such a pleasant experience. The both of us wanted the same things for the track in terms a positive message, and wanting to be fair to each other. We decided that every decision made would be a collective effort and we respected each other in the process.”
Alley produced the beat for “Reminiscing” in his home studio and pictured Tiffany’s vocals as the perfect fit for the song. “I was in phase of listening to a bunch of smash house by artists such as Nora En Pure and Kygo and when I sat down to work on the beat, so what I was listening to at the time influenced certain elements of what I was producing,” says Alley. “I love writing songs about love, and also want people to be able to relate to the thoughts or experiences.”
What has life under Lockdown been like for Alley and Tiffany? “I’ve had quite a bit more time for music and production, but I do miss the gigs and playing live,” says Alley. Tiffany has started piano lessons to try and improve her piano playing, and she’s also enjoying the time spent with her little family during this difficult time.
