Fourth Son South Release ‘Tomorrow’s Better’ Video
South African Rockers Fourth Son South recently released their anticipated EP ‘Machine‘ to critical acclaim. Guitarist and vocalist Peter Toussaint penned 4 potent tracks marked by strong lyrical emphasis on positivity, supplemented by a fresh mix of their successful 2021 single ‘Hold On’. A Music Video for the first single ‘Tomorrow’s Better’ (featuring Indie Alternative Artist Melissa Osborne) is now available, produced by Baas de Beer.
Peter shares that “Our first single is about the confusing life that one can find yourself in. What are the values that you should cherish? If you’re not there yet today, tomorrow is a new day with new light. As soon as I wrote ‘Tomorrow’s Better’ I knew that there should be a male and a female vocalist, responding to each other. Our drummer Carel also plays in a band called ‘Thinking Feet’ where Melissa Osborne does lead vocals. She’s got an amazing voice and I knew I wanted to do this song with her. Thankfully she liked the song and came to the studio to sing her parts. She is a great person to work with and I’m very glad I asked her!”

Fourth Son South is a Rock group from South Africa formed by Dutch-born guitar maestro Peter Toussaint. After his debut solo release ‘One Day’ (2018), Peter enlisted bass player Franco Jamneck and drummer Carel Viljoen and toured as a trio under the name ‘Peter T Band’. At the end of 2019, the band recorded their debut EP called ‘Another Mile’ under the name Fourth Son South. This was released in April 2020, just as the world turned to lockdown with Covid-19. During lockdown, Peter wrote and recorded songs that formed the basis of their first full length album ‘The Sounds Around Your Head’. Guitarist Dale McHardy was subsequently recruited to perfect the live sound and the quartet proceeded to release another single ‘Hold On’ in July 2021.
To date Fourth Son South enjoyed success with their singles ‘Reflections’, ‘Positive’ and ‘Hold On’ achieving positions on several global charts. In October 2021 Fourth Son South represented South Africa at the international ‘La Ley del Rock’ Online Festival held in Argentina and Italy. In February 2022 Bernhard Viljoen replaced Franco Jamneck on Bass Guitar & Vocal Harmonies.
