Soldier On

Hot off the heels of his first single Hurting Love, Tian Nienaber is back with his 2nd released single, namely Solder On.
After the first single doing very well on radio stations around the world, charting in S.A and doing well on Banks Radio Australia as well as winning best new comer for The Banger Music Awards, Tian seems like he has everything to prove with a follow up single. In my opinion, Tian has come out with a great track which I feel is going to do equally well, or if not, then even better.
Soldier on is a beautiful song which starts off with a bit of piano, making you think it’s going to be a slow ballad kind of a track, but that feeling swiftly starts to disappear as the song progresses on with guitar. But what really brings the song to life is Tian’s awesome graveling voice, which I just find amazing, and the emotion in his singing really brings this track to life, and this is just 30 seconds into the song.
The track was produced by Peach Van Pletzen, and I can really hear the great work he has done with how well the song is mixed and recorded with each instrument along with vocals sounding awesome.
The lyrics of the track are equally great and I can really feel the emotion in each word and phrase of the song. One thing worth mentioning is, this song was written during lockdown, where Tian took on a challenge to write 21 songs in 21 days, and this song is one of the songs that came out of that period, which I think is pretty amazing in itself that he took on that challenge and is was be able to out with a masterpiece like this
Soldier On has enough kick to make it rocking but just enough softness to make it a hit on commercial and internet stations all around the world. I do think this song is going to do well on charts all around the world, and if my friend Isaac Banks from Banks Radio Australia is reading this review, I want to tell him, if you thought Tian Nienaber’s last single was good, then watch out for this track because you are going to be amazed.
I can picture myself listening to this track alone in a car, with an open highway in front of me and just belting out the lyrics.
I would like to congratulate Tian Nienaber and producer Peach Van Pletzen on a really amazing track. It truly is great. I hope the two of you are going to work with each other in years to come, because what you guys achieve is amazing and I can only get excited about what else is to come in the near future.

SOLDIER ON LYRICS
I had to leave you in the dark
Because I can’t save you anymore
I’ve been drowning way to long
Trying to pull you from this war
Breaking walls to save my soul
Fighting demons on my own
I’ll have to soldier on till the war is done
Breaking walls to save my own
Fight this pain until it’s gone
Wishing I could just come home
I came back to save myself
Left you broken damned and scared
Fought twelve rounds until I fell
Gave you up because you gave me hell
If we found each other another time
Could we save each other one last time
Would it end in dreams like every time
I could end it all tonight
Breaking walls to save my soul
Fighting demons on my own
I’ll have to soldier on till the war is done
Breaking walls to save my own
Fight this pain until it’s gone
Wishing I could just come home
