Vaughn Prangley- Road Trip

Every so often I get sent a gem of a track and musician, and so is the case of this next musician I am about to tell you about. Vaughn Prangley is only 18 years old but is already making great noise in the music industry.

Vaughn has just released his latest single called Road Trip and it really is a masterpiece of a track. Upon first listening to the track, Road Trip has everything needed to make up a good radio song, great music, great lyrics and a great voice to top it off. And Vaughn seems to tick off all the boxes.

Starting off all at once, the instruments, which, to my ear, include a piano, start off the track soon with Vaughn’s great pop rock voice. The lyrics itself are very catchy as well and I find myself singing to myself the lyrics ‘Come on, come on, baby, come on, come on, we’ve got to go’. I always know when a song is going to do well when a song gets stuck in your head or if you find yourself humming the tune after you have heard the song and that is exactly what happens with this track.

It is worth mentioning as well that the track itself is produced by Howie Combrink, who is not only a great musician himself but is also proving to be a great producer and that really shows in this track. Road Trip is taken from the new album called Destination Unknown, which itself was nominated for SAMA, and, of course, Howie Combrink also produced this whole album as well.

I can see myself putting this track on a playlist while having lunch with a loved one or sitting outside for a barbeque with some friends. The track also has the ability to put me in a good mood and those songs are always the best that do that for you.

I look forward to one day seeing Vaughn Prangley play live as I think this song will be great to listen to live in an intimate venue. I also think this song has the potential to do very well on commercial and internet radio stations all around the world.

I would like to congratulate Vaughn Prangley and everyone who worked on this track. I feel I am late to the game of knowing who Vaughn is, but I can honestly say after hearing only one track, I am already a huge fan. I cannot wait to hear the whole album now and listen to some of his old work.

Road Trip Lyrics

We will go

Places and meet faces

We don’t know

And you are here

With me

Got thousands of miles to go

Come on, come on, baby

Come on, come on, we’ve got to go

Come on, come on, darling

Come on, come on, lets hit the road

The days end and when we wake up

We’ll do it all over again

And the night falls but we’re joyful

Of the journeys that lie ahead

Take my hand

Let’s not be wary

Explore the world of the unknown

Now you go

With me

Leaving marks around the globe

Come on, come on, baby

Come on, come on, we’ve got to go

Come on, come on, darling

Come on, come on, lets hit the road

The days end and when we wake up

We’ll do it all over again

And the night falls but we’re joyful

Of the journeys that lie ahead

(Oh what lies ahead)

The days end and when we wake up

We’ll do it all over again

And the night falls but we’re joyful

Of the journeys that lie ahead

The days end and when we wake up

We’ll do it all over again

And the night falls but we’re joyful

Of the journeys that lie ahead

Come on, come on, baby

Come on, come on, we’ve got to go

Come on, come on, darling

Come on, come on, lets hit the road
