Deadline-The Cult of Prometheus
Reviewed by Duzzy Clayton
South African Heavy Metal band Deadline is back with a brand new single to melt the faces of anybody who listens to the track (in a good way)
Old fans of this unique band will be happy with the new single and familiar sounds of this band and Jessy Switchblade’s vocals and new fans will be turned on by the great guitars and drums and just how well the song is structured
Upon first listen I am impressed with the riff and the right away heavy sounds of guitars and drums hitting the ear with a huge impact
This is metal and rock at its best and it makes me very proud that it is coming from a South African band
The lyrics to the track are also very good and almost make you feel empowered almost like you are a part of something great, The Cult of Prometheus
There inst a bad thing I can say about the track and everything from lyrics to vocals to lead solos and riff to bass and drums screams awesomeness
The track is also released with an awesome in-your-face music video which is not only a great video but also well-structured and filmed

A long-time fan of Deadline and owner of RSA Rock N Metal fans had the following to say: “The new DEADLINE track “Cult of Prometheus” combines all of my favorite ‘traits’ from the old school ‘masters of metal’ It has the vocal prowess of Halford/Dio; add in some guitar melodies reminiscent of Iron Maiden’s & hammer in Metallica’s metallic rhythms! I also note & love the louder bass presence! True to their form Deadline delivers a good mix of power metal meets thrash metal!”
I can picture myself wanting to listen to this track when I want to feel a part of a community when all else is failing and I need to have faith in the system again
Old fans of the band will be happy with the new single and any new fans who are just discovering Deadline, I envy you because what a track to listen to and discover this awesome band. It truly is a masterpiece
I would like to congratulate Deadline on an amazing track and I can’t wait for the new album to hit our existence
Deadline will be performing at the 10-year anniversary Metal feast on the 25th of February 2023 at Rumours Lounge in Johannesburg and if you are in the area I would urge you to go to the event because seeing Deadline live is a must-see experience
