Sarah Jade- My Favorite Time

Reviewed by Duzzy Clayton

I have been lucky enough to come across a very talented young lady who goes by the name of Sarah Jade. I first became aware of Sarah as the new co-vocalist of Fourth Son South and that is when she first became a part of my radar. If you haven’t gone and checked Fourth Son South’s latest single called ‘The Cold’ which features Sarah for the first time with the band then please do yourself a favor and check it out

As well as being a part of a great band like Fourth Son South, Sarah Jade is also a very cool solo musician and she has recently come out with her debut solo track called My Favorite Time

Dipping into the pop-rock country genres, Sarah’s debut track is very different from what Fourth Son South is about but this just shows the talent and drive she has to be able to be so versatile

‘My Favorite Time’ ironically is a time of Sarah’s life that wasn’t her best time as she was going through a lot mentally and emotionally, but then she had a good friend, that was able to pick her out of that bad situation and change arguably the most difficult time of her life and change it to her Favorite Time on her life.

What stands out for me on this track is the amazing vocals on the track, Sarah can sing pop vocals as well as Taylor Swift but sing and ‘Twang’ her vowels as well as Dolly Parton, which to me is a great combination and talent.

What blows my mind, (apart from this being her debut track), is how old Sarah is, she is only 19 years old and she is already producing music like this, I see a bright future for Sarah and I for one cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.

I can’t fault anything of the song, everything from Sarah’s voice to the lyrics to the wholesome music is all spot on and well recorded and I would like to congratulate everyone else who worked on this track for a job well done

Having had the opportunity of seeing Sarah Jade live I can say she is equally talented on stage and if you ever do get to see her live on stage it is solo or with her band Fourth Son South, just drop everything and go because you won’t be disappointed

I would like to congratulate Sarah Jade on a great debut track to start her career, If ‘My Favourite time’ is anything to go by, I think the future is looking bright for this unique artist

Lyrics

I lose all sense of time when I’m with you
That’s what I wrote in my notes the last time I saw you
Woah woah
Woah oh

We shared all the same dreams and we used to be close
I hope you know that I still miss you the most

Woah woah
Woah oh

You’re my favourite past time, good time
You’re my favourite every time
I’ll love you for a lifetime
I’ll love you for a long time
Woah oh
I’ll love you for the rest of my life

Woah woah
Woah oh

Woah woah
Woah oh

We flew down to the coast a few years ago
I remember when you said that I should go

Woah woah
Woah oh

I’ve never met anyone quite like you
I hope that you think of me fondly too

Woah woah
Woah oh

Woah woah
Woah oh

You’re my favourite past time, good time
You’re my favourite every time
I’ll love you for a lifetime
I’ll love you for a long time
Woah oh
I’ll love you for the rest of my life

Woah woah
Woah oh

Times have changed, we’re getting older, getting colder
All our dreams are getting closer
Oh closer
But without you
Without you

You were my favourite past time, good time
You were my favourite every time
Still love you for a lifetime
Still love you for a long time
Woah oh
I’ll love you for the rest of my life

Woah woah
Woah oh

I’ll love you for the rest of my life

Woah oh
Oh oh

I’ll love you for the rest of my life

Woah woah
Woah oh
