David Torrance THP Songs- Step Out Of The Rain
Reviewed by Duzzy Clayton
Hot off the heels from his last single ‘All about the Money’, David Torrance and THP Songs are back with another cool track namely, ‘Step out Of The Rain’.
Being a part of THP in the past and on various other projects, David relied on other singers to sing the songs that he has written, But ‘All About The Money’ was the first time where David explored being the singer and songwriter for the track, and that single became such a success on radio stations around the world, so I am delighted to see David is back as a singer-songwriter for this new track called ‘Step Out Of The Rain’
Upon first listening to the track I get an 80s feel of the track, with David’s vocals starting off the song at the start of the song and synth keyboards on the track, As the music starts, I then go on a musical dancing journey throughout the song, that seems to take many turns and changes as the song progresses.
I love the lyrics of the songs and I kind of get put in a good mood with the lyrics as well as David’s vocals, where I can just make out his Scottish accent.
When asked about the song, David Torrance had this to say: “This song was conceived in the early hours of a morning when I was woken up by a melody and lyrics in a dream, and the melody went along with the lyrics, which were ‘Step Out Of The Rain, and into my sunshine.’ I suppose the song is about trying to get people to be happy by saying to them ‘c’mon step out of the rain and come into my sunshine.’ In other words, cheer up.”
I am amazed by the production of the song, and how well the recordings of each instrument are put together, the song arrangement is world class and I can’t fault it anywhere on the track, I do love the backing tracks of the lyrics that sing “Step Out of The Rain’, and ‘We got to do it’, which is kind of like affirmations throughout the song designed to either make you want to dance or to change your mood for the better instantly
I can see myself playing this song when I need a bit of upliftment or just want to get into a party vibe mood before a night out
As I mentioned before the production and song arrangement is done so well, I don’t see this track having any problem being played on radio stations all around the world.
I would like to congratulate David Torrance, THP songs, and all that worked on this unique track, if this is only David’s second track that he trusts himself to sing lead vocals, then I say the future looks bright and I do hope he releases more tracks like this because it is awesome
