Lorenzo Gabanizza Featuring Jeff Christie- I don’t want to live without you

I must be honest with you as I write this review, when I received this track, I was in a bit of a bad mood and also not feeling well, So I listened to the track and was totally blown away, I was instantly put in a good mood and even started to feel better, but I must confess I gave the track a listen before I even read the email.

I was instantly drawn into the track and thought to myself this is the best track I have received in a long time, (And believe me, I receive a lot music) I then proceeded to read the email to find out more about the musician and who worked on the album, and this is when I saw the amazing big names who have all worked with Lorenzo Gabanizza and on this track, Well known names include Jeff Christie, (on lead vocals) multi platinum artist and author of the smashing hit YELLOW RIVER. Paul Fenton (drums) who, besides being drummer for the band CHRISTIE, toured with Jethro Tull and was and is drummer for Marc Bolan’s T-Rex. Kev Moore (Bass) who was bass player for Christie, BC Sweet and Saxon. Hale White (Piano) a Nashville talented guy who worked among the others with Pam Tillis, Lorrie Morgan, Collin Raye. Patrick Lyons (Dobro) who works for Colter Wall. Richard Curran (strings) who worked for the great Bert Jansch. John Heinrich (Whistle) who worked with Barry Gibb, Waylon Jennings etc. Mike Casteel (trumpets) who worked for Percy Sledge and Connie Francis. Catherine Ashcroft (Uillean pipes) member of duo “Mochara” with multi instrumentalist Maurice Dickson, Tanner Bayles (Tin whistle).

So you can see why I instantly took notice and I then realised why this track sounds so amazing because there is some really talented people who have worked on the track. So that is my introduction to this review and I am hoping you are now just as excited to read further and also check out the new track

Upon first listen to the track, I was instantly taken back by laid back sounds of the intros that kind of make you feel calm and floating on a cloud, I love the different instruments on the track which I must say is all played to perfection, you can see why I kind of felt better while listening to to the song, even after feeling so horrible just a few minds before.

Lorenzo and Jeff’s vocals are also top notch, and each chord and vocal line takes you on a journey which seems to last through out the song, The two Vocalists seem to compliment each other and harmonize well together, of course the lyrics have a big part to play in this and everything from the music to the lyrics are well written

When asked what the track is about Lorenzo has this to say about itIt’s a ghost story, or it’s a love story. You can choose by yourself what it is. It’s a song focused on feelings such as pain, love, symbiosis.  Something like “Wuthering Heights”.

I can picture myself listening to this track when I am just looking for some good old well written music to get me through a tough day or if I just want to be amazed of the amount of talent is working on a piece of music, which even now still blows me away as I listen to the track for 20th time (hehe)

The big names who have worked on the track don’t stop there, because The Mastering is done by 63 times Grammy awarded Greg Calbi, who has worked with David Bowie, John Lennon, Bob Dylan and got his Grammy in 2022 for his work with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett.

I do believe this song is destined for greatness and is going to do very well on radio stations all around the world
