West Coast Wolves Share the video for ‘Burn It’
Get ready to embark on a musical journey like no other as Cape Town’s genre-bending band, West Coast Wolves announces the release of their latest music video, Burn It. Known for their fearless fusion of folk, punk rock, and bluegrass, this band is breaking down barriers and blazing a trail in the Cape Town music scene.
The creative process behind Burn It was a whirlwind of inspiration as the band explains, “We have an ‘anything goes attitude’ in rehearsals; it’s how we pull in so many genres. ‘Burn It’ was inspired by the Michael Jackson funk piece Gaelen wrote tinkering on his fuzz pedal. Miggs promptly began ‘slappin’ da bass’! Pete was told to wrangle an African-sounding, upbeat guitar/banjo verse to bring Michael Jackson back home, and so he did.”
The lyrics explore the delicate balance between love and frustration within a relationship, “While you can still love someone, sometimes they can just drive you crazy and you want to burn the whole relationship right to the ground.”
Burn It promises to be an electrifying and unforgettable addition to West Coast Wolves’ growing catalogue of music. The band has already earned a dedicated fan base in South Africa with their unique sound and thought-provoking lyrics. Now, they are ready to share their musical vision with the world.
