Louise Carver and Ard Matthews are iconic artists in the South African music landscape and getting them together on the same stage as the sun sets over one of South Africa’s most picturesque venues, is going to be a special occasion and unforgettable experience.
Remaining the charismatic frontman of Just Jinjer to this day, Ard Matthews continues to captivate audiences, both with his band and as a solo artist. His solo performances are intimate affairs, where he shares his indelible lyrics, enchanting ballads, and heartfelt stories from a life that has been nothing short of colorful and enchanted. Fans leave his shows feeling like cherished friends, having been part of a unique and personal storytelling experience that only Ard Matthews can provide.
Louise Carver says that she is looking forward to be performing with Ard again. “He is the real deal, unique, and always true to himself. He has written some of the most memorable songs and is a brilliant singer/songwriter. We have become good friends over the years and really enjoy sharing the same stage. Our voices blend beautifully together and hearing him sing on my hit songs like ‘Home’ is a very special experience. This show is a real mash-up of our big hits plus a few surprises, all in the most breathtaking setting.”
The Multi-award winning and inspiring singer Ms Carver has had a remarkable journey over decades. Her journey began at the age of fifteen when she signed a record deal and released her debut single, ‘It Don’t Matter,’ which swiftly became a radio sensation. Her debut album, ‘Mirrors & Windows,’ featuring the hit ‘Fallen for You,’ further established her as a musical force. Carver’s career soared when renowned deep house producer Kenny Hawkes collaborated with her on the chart-topping track ‘Play the Game,’ which reached number one in Europe, leading to Sony UK licensing her song ‘I’d Say Yes,’ achieving the same feat. Many more successes followed, & she is as sought after on stages today as in earlier years. Ard says: “It should not be forgotten how much impact Louise Carver has had on our South African music landscape. Her raw, sincere, and sultry hits have captivated South Africa from the very beginning. I have always enjoyed performing alongside her, as she brings a much-needed touch of female grace and class that complements my music beautifully. Louise is a class act with an amazing voice and, most importantly, timeless songs. Hearing her on ‘Shallow Waters’, among other tracks, always puts a smile on my face. I look forward to sharing many more special moments on stage with this incredible songstress.”
