Alan Committie is back and he is FAST AND (Reasonably) FURIOUS!

 Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre

7 February – 3 March 2024

South African stand-up comedy Hall-of-Famer, Alan Committie returns for a laugh-filled start to 2024.

Currently receiving rave reviews in Cape Town, he travels to Joburg next to appear at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre in his latest, brand new stand-up show: Fast and (Reasonably) Furious, running for a limited season from 7 February – 3 March 2024.

Displaying his lighting-fast wit coupled with his madcap physicality and renowned crowd engagement, this is Committie screeching his way across the stage with high-octane, Vin-diesel-fueled laughs for the post-holiday season.

What to expect?

A flipchart filled with flagrantly flippant fun facts.

Johan van der Walt extemporizing about eggs and chickens.

Rants and ruminations around Coronations, World Cup fever, Artificial Intelligence and so much more….

In addition, Committie is throwing in an interval. For free. Twenty minutes that you can use in any way you choose. No questions asked. If you select not to leave the theatre auditorium during the interval period then your

twenty minutes will be transferred to your eBucks account and can be used to purchase hopes and dreams at your nearest SPAR. (T’s and C’s applicable)

If you want to unwind after another 12 months of stressful survival then this is the release, relief, and raucous night that you are looking for.

Perfect entertainment for your whole family (except that one uncle that nobody likes….do NOT invite him. For everyone’s sake)

Fast and (Reasonably) Furious is directed by Fleur du Cap Lifetime Achievement winner Christopher Weare and designed by tequila-sipping daytime achievement runner-up Niall Griffin.

Alan Committie – faster than Cheslin Kolbe; the physique of Ox Nche….. A comedy prop who’s quite good at winging it!

Alan states excitedly; “I am delighted to be kicking off 2024 at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre with my brand new stand-up show – Fast and (Reasonably) Furious. I am bringing my flipchart, a new suit, lots of laughs, and a bag of cement to fill the 6 potholes outside my Air B&B.”

He continues; “To say I am fully prepared is to say Rassie always has a plan. Let’s get the next 12 months started with some big laughs. Or hundreds of tiny but escalating giggles. Depending on your preference.”
