Intro
Amy Rowbottom is an amazing singer-songwriter and musician who recently came across my radar after she sent me some of her new music to play on my radio show, I was impressed with the track, I was just not aware of just how impressed I would be by her in the weeks and months to come, Amy is one of those Extraordinaire prodigy musicians who seamlessly can jump around from genre to genre as if she was trained to make music in each genre. not only can she make music for almost every genre out there but she is also one of the hardest working musicians I know, always writing, always recording, just as you have gotten used to her latest single, a new single soon reaches the airwaves, and I have a feeling there is still plenty of more where that came from.
I catch up with Amy Rowbottom to talk about her latest offering, Eagle LIBRE, and get to know what inspires her to throw herself into her music and to do it so well, we also talk about an upcoming album and Christmas charity single in the works

Interview
Welcome to Fanbase Music Magazine, can you tell us where you are from and what is your earliest memory of wanting to be a musician?
My name is Amy Rowbottom and I’m a qualified songwriter and recording artist from West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom.
My earliest memory of wanting to be a singer was when I was around five years old. I’d heard many songs by Celine Dion and I was mesmerized by the power in her voice and her beautiful lyrics in all her music, from an early age I was always singing and dancing mainly to her songs. When I was around seven years old I started to experiment and write poems and songs and from there on I knew in my heart I was going to be a singer-songwriter. It was always on the cards, I’d walk around constantly having melodies in my head and always singing
Do you play any instruments and if so what do you play?
I don’t play any instruments myself, however, I’ve always been able to put lyrics and music together and communicate what I’m looking for in a song. I absolutely love writing and singing in all genres of music, it just comes so easily and naturally to me. When I write I know straight away what genre the song is and how it should be sung with the melody and music. Through years of hard work, determination, and effort I’ve improved my skills as a writer and I’m now qualified and have been graded as a professional songwriter.
It is no secret you are a lover of music and you dabble in all kinds of music and genres, first of all, how do you cross over from genre to genre with such ease, and also what is your favorite genre to sing?
For someone who creates so many different genres of music, I would think your influences must range all of the spectrum, can you name some bands and musicians that heavily influenced you as a child and even today?
I don’t have a favorite genre however I do love to sing country songs. There are so many artists and songwriters that have influenced me over the years from the Beatles, Queen, Lady Gaga, and of course Celine Dion. There are literally so many amazing artists and songwriters out there who inspire me every single day.
I play your new music on my radio show and you are so talented that you have new music coming out for days, it seems like you are releasing some new all the time, where does all the inspiration come from?
I can literally be inspired by anything and everything whether it’s a TV program, film, conversations with people, or different places visited, and inspiration will always come. I try to bring new music out all the time and I’m currently working on an album and a Christmas charity single. All my music is produced in a local studio by my good friend and producer.
Do you play with a band or session musicians or how do you record other instruments when you put a song together?
All my music is produced in a local studio by my good friend and producer who I work closely with on all my music. My latest release Eagle Libre is a song about being trapped in a situation/relationship and trying to break free, the song is written and sung by myself and produced by my producer. The recording process is quite simple, I pre-record the song before the music is created.
Okay let’s talk about your latest single Eagle LIBRE, what is the song about, where was it recorded, who worked on the track and what was the recording process like?
My latest release Eagle Libre is a song about being trapped in a situation/relationship and trying to break free, the song is written and sung by myself and produced by my producer. The recording process is quite simple I pre-record the song before the music is created. My hope is that anyone who listens to the track and feels in a vulnerable situation will see that there is always help out there should it be needed.
Do you feel music has helped you in ways to get through a bad time or when you’re feeling low, do you feel writing music has helped you in that aspect too?
Music has literally saved my life in so many ways, it has been my therapy, my distraction, my first love. Music is and always will be my life. When I write I zone out and fully concentrate on the song at hand, always aiming for perfection.
Do you play live and if so what is a live show like?
I do sing live, however, I’ve been taking some time out due to health issues and focusing on new music but I literally can’t wait to get back out there again and I will be doing some shows very soon.
You are currently working on a Christmas Charity single, what can you tell us about that?
I’m working on a Christmas charity single at the moment which I’m hoping to have out sometime in September and it’s for the homeless charity center point to raise money and awareness, I’m also working on my country album re-recording some old songs with some new songs in there which is gonna be amazing.
You currently have a fundraiser going on called Fundraiser For Soldiers, can you please tell us more about that and how can we get involved?
Last year I wrote a song called Warrior to raise awareness about homeless veterans and mental health. This is a very powerful and emotional song with strong lyrics that tell a true story about the struggles that veterans face after they have fought for our country. Soldiers Off the Street is a charity in the UK that helps homeless veterans and their families. I’m urging people to stream or buy my song Warrior which is on all streaming platforms and donate to the Just Giving page that you can find on my FB profile link here all the donations go straight to the charity. Even if people are unable to donate if people can share as much as possible to your socials it will make a massive difference and thank you to everyone for the ongoing support. You can donate or share this link HERE
Always being busy with music, you also working on a new album, what can you tell us about that album and when do you hope it will be out?
I’ve got many new projects lined up and I believe it’s all going to come together and put a magical end to what has been a very difficult year. I’m aiming to get my album out Sep-Oct. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to all my fans, followers, friends, and family. I really do appreciate all the support that I have had and I can’t wait to keep bringing you music out, there will be many surprises along the way, this is just the beginning.
