CALUMET
New Single & Video
“Everything’s A Waiting Game”
Calumet, the band out of Phoenix, AZ that features rich soul harmonies, thick bass grooves, ripping guitar, strong hooks, and together since 2001, has a new single and video, “Everything’s A Waiting Game”, out now.
This track features Eric Mobley (vocal, keyboards, guitar, bass), Jason Mitchell (guitar), Julian Mitchell (drums), Michelle Worley (vocal), and David Moore (sax).
Jason says, “Everything’s A Waiting Game”, deals with the struggles we all encounter on our journey through life. Sometimes it feels like we’re in a holding pattern while we deal with finances, education, bad relationships, and employment. Most people have dealt with the challenges of setbacks in life that feel as if time is standing still.”
The imagery in the video for “Everything’s A Waiting Game” indicates that often times it takes an immense amount of time to attain your goals. Jason says that simply staying together as a band is quite an accomplishment for Calumet, as they have had a lot of member changes over the years. Music requires vision, effort, and resources to bring to life.
Calumet is always writing and recording new music, says Jason. “The song we’re tracking now is called, “Mother Africa”, which has an old-school groove similar to the Meters. It’s connecting the dots of our shared human origins”.
The music continues with Calumet’s next release being, “There Will Come a Day”, which is a wake-up call to make peace in your relationships while you still can.
