RED EYE PARIAH
‘SO LONG’
NEW SINGLE OUT 13th September
Formed in April 2021, Red Eye Pariah have had a meteoric rise in both the Irish and UK music scenes built, in part, on their reputation for high energy performances. Their energetic instrumentals, that blend between genres, are accompanied by catchy melodies that solidify their unique style.
The band have received multiple radio plays on RTE, BBC Radio Ulster, and most recently Radio X DJ John Kennedy premiered their single ‘The Rounds’ in January of this year. They have sold out multiple venues in Belfast and supported major stars like Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum, False Heads, Michael C. Hall, Tom Meighan, and Electric Six.
In May of 2024 the band planned and booked an independent UK tour calling in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, London and Liverpool. The tour was a roaring success prompting them to return to Ireland and headline the Henry McCullough stage at Stendhal Festival, following up with a run of Irish shows this November in Belfast, Derry, Dublin and Cork.
‘So Long’ is the 3rd release by Red Eye Pariah in 2024. The song is 3 minutes and 32 seconds of sheer indie-rock with elements of groove and pop that you just can’t help but bop along to!
The new single also comes with a self produced music video written, directed and edited by the band set to release on the same day.
New single ‘So Long’ will be released 13/9/24
at 00:00 GMT across all streaming platforms.

Coming back from their UK tour and taking time to reflect, the band have said that the song isn’t just about saying goodbye. It’s acknowledging how meeting someone, even for a short period of time can be so special. Farewells like the one that the song references, is a bittersweet occurrence of people parting ways when the time is right, but the feeling is not.
“On tour we met some amazing people and amazing bands. It was a lot of fun to experience tour life especially after all the effort that went into getting it together independently. On the boat home we were in emotional conflict. Sad because it was over, happy because it happened. I suppose this song, even though it was written some time before tour, it really hit home for us at that moment.”
– Alex Close (Bass)
The song was presented to the band by Frontman Deano Kelly in 2022, with the band writing and structing it over a few months.
“There were a few different versions of this song. The bones were there but it was more than the 2 chord driven ‘feel-good ’track that it was in the beginning. We’ve been working on adding more layers to our sound and showing our influences.”
– Deano Kelly (Guitar/Vox)
‘So Long’ recorded at Manor Park Studio in June 2024 with Neil Calderwood, where it was also mixed and mastered.
