Drawing from an eclectic list of musical influences – Jazz, Dub, Fado, Celtic music, and Hip-Hop – Fox creates a genre-defying soundscape that explores a complex narrative of adoration and dysfunction.

Sannie Fox is a dynamic and genre-blending singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer whose music weaves together her Portuguese, British, and South African heritage, creating a rich tapestry of melodic and rhythmic influence.

Drawing on these diverse cultural influences, Fox has developed a distinctive sound that spans folk, blues, psychedelic rock, and world music. Her talent and unique style have earned her widespread acclaim, culminating in two South African Music Award (SAMA) nominations for her solo albums Serpente Masjien and My Soul Got Stranger. Both albums showcase her ability to merge her musical influences with modern sensibilities, establishing her as a powerful presence on the South African and international music scenes.

Sannie Fox, recognized for her dynamic live performances, was nominated for a UK AIM Award in the category of Best Live Act in 2020, highlighting her impact on the UK music scene. Currently based in London, Fox is in the process of writing and arranging material for her highly anticipated third studio album.
