There and Then is the much anticipated follow up album to Dawn’s first release ( Hear and Now). Tracks off the new album have received many international radio plays already, gaining a global following, with many positive reviews and press coverage leading up to the album launch.
There and Then is strongly influenced by Celtic folk music and features tracks which reference mythology, folklore, fantasy and fairytale from around the world including Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany,Greenland and Scandinavia. The album has a very other worldly, medieval feel while still connecting to our lives today by sharing metaphor and stories that are as relevant to our journey now as they would have been centuries ago.
While many of the tracks feature beautiful haunting finger picked guitar melodies, there are a few which have a more upbeat folk rock feel, featuring fantastic electric guitar solos, strong drum beats and lively mandolin pieces.
With ten beautifully produced tracks, all with strong storytelling lyrics, there is something to catch everyones imagination on this album. Listen closely, dance wildly around the fire, feel deeply and connect who you are now , with songs that feel like they come from there and then. There and Then is due for release on 25 January 2025.
Dawn says “This album has been a life time in the making, it has some of my oldest and most recent tracks on it, truly showcasing a range of songs from my journey as a musician and as a human being. These tracks are deeply connected to who I am, to my roots as well as my dreams, it features musical contributions from some of my favourite musicians, who im blessed to call friends, and im so proud to share it with the world. I hope that it finds its people. “
